Not everyone is offered online proof of identity. If offered, online proof of identity is available after you have:
After paying by credit card or PayPal, the next screen will ask you to prove your identity online.
You can also access it from the ‘My items’ main screen, where you will see a ‘Prove identity’ button.
If you don’t see an offer straight after payment, then it is not available. You must provide identity documents.
If you weren’t offered online proof of identity, then it is not available to you.

BDM cannot predict or control who will be offered this service.
Online proof of identity is provided by a third-party service. The service compares details in your application, such as your name and address, with external data sources.
If these data sources don’t contain enough information about you, the service cannot verify your identity.
It works this way to protect your privacy and prevent identity theft.
